Shay Mitchellis Shay Mitchell is a Canadian model, actress and entrepreneur. Her most well-known character is Emily Fields on the Freeform show Pretty Little Liars. After excelling at dance and modelling, she wanted to try acting and began taking acting classes in Toronto. Mitchell landed several commercials and was a guest on TV series before landing her first major part as Emily Fields. She was praised for her abilities by critics as with people who loved her. Her film career began with Dreamland, Mother's Day, and The Possession of Hannah Grace. She gained wider recognition for her part in the drama about psychological issues You. As well as acting, she's ventured into the world of writing. Together with Michaela Blayne, she co-wrote the novel for adults titled Bliss. Shay Mitchell was raised in Ontario with her parents Mark Mitchell & Precious Gonzalez. Her birth date was 10th April, 1987. Her mother is Filipina, while her father is of Irish as well as Scottish heritage. Mitchell is her cousin to Lea Salonga the famous actor in musical theater and singer. When she was a kid, Mitchell attended Rockridge Secondary before transferring to the West Vancouver Secondary School. She had already modeled around the world in her early teens. The trip took her across the world to Barcelona Bangkok Hong Kong before eventually returning to her home country and studying acting in Toronto.
